MediaForge ("the App") is a media compression application designed to help users compress images and videos while maintaining high visual quality.

The App performs media compression directly on the user's device and also offers an optional desktop acceleration feature that allows compatible computers on the same local network to perform video compression.

This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when using the App.

By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Data Collection Overview

MediaForge is designed to process your media locally.

The developer does not collect, upload, store, or access your images, videos, or compressed files.

Certain limited information may be automatically collected by third-party services used within the App, as described below.

3. Information Stored Locally on Your Device

The following information may be stored locally on your device:

• Compression settings and preferences
• Selected media files during processing
• Temporary cache files required for compression
• Compression history and output file information

This data:

• Remains on your device
• Is not transmitted to the developer
• Is not uploaded to any CodeWolf server

Temporary files created during processing may be automatically removed after compression completes.

4. Local Network Desktop Acceleration

MediaForge includes an optional desktop acceleration feature that allows a compatible MediaForge Desktop application to compress videos on your computer.

When this feature is used:

• Communication occurs only between your Android device and your own computer on the same local network.
• Media files are transferred only between your devices for compression.
• No media files are transmitted to CodeWolf Apps or third-party servers.
• The developer cannot access or monitor files transferred between your devices.

Using desktop acceleration is entirely optional. The App functions normally without connecting to a desktop device.

5. Advertising and Device Identifiers

The App uses Google AdMob to display advertisements.

AdMob may automatically collect certain information, including:

• Device identifiers (such as Advertising ID)
• App interaction data
• Basic diagnostic information

This information may be used for:

• Ad delivery
• Ad performance measurement
• Improving advertising relevance

This information is collected and processed by Google in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy .

The developer does not control how Google collects or processes this data.

Users may manage advertising preferences through their device settings.

6. Permissions

MediaForge requests only the permissions necessary for its core functionality.

• Photos and videos access for selecting media to compress.
• Network access for optional desktop acceleration and displaying advertisements.
• Foreground service permission while long-running compression tasks are in progress.

Permissions are used solely to provide the requested functionality.

7. Data Security

Media compression is performed locally on your device or, if you choose, on your own computer through the optional desktop acceleration feature.

Network communication used for desktop acceleration occurs only between your devices.

Advertising-related communications performed by the Google Mobile Ads SDK are encrypted in transit.

While reasonable security practices are implemented, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure.

8. Data Deletion

Because MediaForge stores data locally:

• Users may remove all app data by clearing app storage or uninstalling the App.
• Compressed media files remain wherever the user chooses to save them.
• Temporary files may be automatically removed after processing.

The developer does not retain copies of user files.

9. Children's Privacy

The App is not specifically directed toward children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above.
